Veronica Carter was born and raised in Jakarta, Indonesia. Coming from a musically talented family, singing has become a natural thing to do for her since the age of three. By the time she was six, she was often invited to birthday parties, weddings, and social events to sing.

At the age of fifteen she signed her first album contract when her neighbor, who was a song writer used her on his demo. Veronica made several albums varying from pop rock, soft pop, reggae to folk music. She worked with well known artists/musicians such as Pance Pondaag and Leo Manuputy, and recording companies such as Metrotama and Gajah Mada Records in Indonesia. She also appeared on many magazine covers as a model, and in television commercials. She also starred in a television series “Mawar Mekar Di Antara Duri (Rose Among Thorns)” that was produced by the television and film company Multivision Plus and ran for 26 well-received episodes.

Veronica moved to Canada in 1995. She took a two year Drama Program at Keyano College in Fort McMurray, and then finished her BFA Degree in Drama at the University of Calgary, Alberta. Veronica started to sing professionally again when she joined Shadoplay in 2007. Veronica is very excited to be given the opportunity not only to sing but to showcase her passion writing song lyrics.
